Here's a list just starting about the Top Ten Live Video performances in all of Pop Music history...just have number one up, so far. Lots of deep thought must go into something is important as this! :-) Top Ten Live Videos in Pop Music History... Perhaps the most surreal music video ever. And it's kind of a pop music video, in a way! The kind of thing that, if you got really really stoned - or perhaps had a near death experience - you'd imagine. But it's impossible - or nearly so - to think that a film crew, and tens or perhaps hundreds of thousands of dollars - and plenty of rats - all got together and, presumably, in the cold hard light of day, rented dollies, and cameras, and flying rigs, and hired a location - and that "craft services" people with doughnuts and bagels and coffee were standing around - and that rat handlers, and maybe even representatives from the ASPCA were about - while this was made. It is inconceivable enough coherent, unstoned, undying people were about to make this thing. But they were. And they did. And here it is: Crispin Glover covering Michael Jackson's "Ben". Of COURSE!!!!
Oh, and an accordian.. Michael Jackson's Ben, sung by Crispin Glover...with an accordian. Of course! Here's a linkto some new videos, btw. Christina Aguilera, and her crowd...!
And below, something, let's be honest - not nearly so surreal as Crispin Glover's Ben. But, still, for some dude in his bedroom, not half bad! Paula Abdul's song Straight Up done...straight up?! Bizarre... Enter the Older PopMusic.com here! Or enter your favourite bit of PopMusic.com below! :-)

Is Pop Music simply this: S: (n) pop music, pop (music of general appeal to teenagers; a bland watered-down version of rock'n'roll with more rhythm and harmony and an emphasis on romantic love) Hell no!!! How about his: Pop Vs. Popular Music One of the most consistent elements of pop music since the 1950's is the pop song. Pop music is not usually written, performed and recorded as a symphony, suite, or concerto. [What about The Beatles?!? Led Zeppelin?!??] The basic form for pop music is the song and usually a song consisting of verse and repeated chorus. Most often the songs are between 2 1/2 minutes and 5 1/2 minutes in length. There have been notable exceptions. The Beatles' "Hey Jude" was an epic 7 minutes in length. However, in many cases, if the song is abnormally long, an edited version is released for radio airplay such as in the case of Don McLean's "American Pie." It was edited down from its original 8 1/2 minutes length to just over 4 minutes for radio airplay. On the other end of the spectrum, in the late 1950's and early 1960's some hit songs clocked in under 2 minutes in length. OR... Popis actually short for popular, so any music which is popular with people could be classed as pop. However pop music as we know it today really started in the 1920's with jazz which was known as a popular style and was different from classical music in that you could dance to it and it didn't use an orchestra. From then on music that was accessible to ordinary people and used for dancing and enjoyment (i.e. not serious) became known as pop. In the 1930's the first pop music charts began. They counted the sales of popular sheet music rather than record sales as not many people owned record players. From then on pop developed and the first pop stars came in the 1940's with Frank Sinatra as a teenage pin up then Elvis Presley in the 1950's and the Beatles in the 1960's. As teenagers got more money they bought more records and pop music became big business. Today really everything not classical could be called pop. Actually, Pop Music is the music made by this guy...[link coming soon...stay in touch, here...!!!] Click Here for a FREE NEW iPod!!

This effort to wipe out independent online radio has nothing to do with protecting artists, and everything to do with protecting a status quo that supports a very few top 40 acts at the expense of everyone else. In their effort to protect their outdated business model, the RIAA is happy to prevent their artists from reaching potential customers...
Blur will reconvene in the studio this summer and make a new album with founding guitarist Graham Coxon, Alex James has confirmed. Rumours have been rife for some months about the band's plans for the future and the chances of the first new recordings since 2003's "Think Tank". [via Pop Candy]
As a benefit for the family of Joe Murphy, a podcaster and XM Radio personality who passed away on April 1st, a group of podcasters spearheaded by Paul Fischer and Phil Rossi have created a Creative Commons-licensed version of Jonathan Coulton's hilariously profane song 'First of May.'

LyricWiki is a free site which is a source where anyone can go to get reliable lyrics for any song from any artist without being hammered by invasive ads.
The RIAA is looking more and more like the Mafia. Not only is it trying to kill Internet radio, but its royalty-collecting subsidiary, SoundExchange, is now claiming the right to collect royalties for ALL artists, even those who want nothing to do with the RIAA and its jackbooted henchmen.
In an attempt to change the rules of the game, the RIAA secretly went to a federal district court in Denver with an ex parte application. The goal was to get the judge to rule that the federal Cable Communications Policy Act does not apply to the RIAA's attempts to get subscriber information (pdf) from cable companies.
