Join the next generation of filmmakers and actors at one of the most innovative and dynamic film schools and acting schools in the world. New York Film Academy offers intensive, hands-on Filmmaking, Screenwriting, Digital Video, Computer Animation, and Acting School Programs. Students are immersed in the art and craft of filmmaking and acting from day one. To support our philosophy and our curriculum, we maintain an unparalleled faculty and one of the largest film school equipment inventories in the world.
Since our inception in 1992, the New York Film Academy has grown into an internationally acclaimed film and acting school that offers students a comprehensive array of options for courses and programs ranging from one-week to one or two years in not only filmmaking, but screenwriting, 3D animation, acting, editing and new digital video technologies. FILM BUZZ
Redefining the definition of a blockbuster, "Spider-Man 3" leaped from one boxoffice record to another during the weekend...
Some of Hollywood’s greatest filmmakers and stars have chosen to send their sons and daughters to the film schools and acting schools of the New York Film Academy. These are a few of Hollywood's biggest stars who have sent their children to our film school:
Steven Spielberg, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins, Kevin Kline, Peter Bogdanovich, Luc Besson, Pierce Brosnan, and George Romero. Asian cinema stars, Takeshi Kaneshiro (Chungking Express) and Park Kyung Rim also attended the school. Yet, some of the best projects to come out of the New York Film Academy are from students with no connections to the industry.
An extraordinarily eclectic group of students attend our film schools from all over the world. Our film and acting school student body is very diverse and includes architects, college students, theater directors, taxi drivers, university professors, skateboard enthusiasts, an Olympic boxer, and a Tibetan Lama to mention a few. Over forty percent of our students come to our film schools from overseas, which results in a rich cultural exchange and inspires creativity.
